Storytelling Festival is held each year beginning in August. It is not a religious

France: Storytelling and Calligraphy Festival
held each fall for the past four years in Amiens, about an hour, north of Paris.
It’s a wonderful combination of Arabic, Persian, Oriental and Western calligraphic
styles and the living word, in the presence of professional calligraphers and tellers
from all over and a program of performances and exhibitions. The Amiens Festival

Germany. starting April 30, 2001: 1001 nights of storytelling 26 storytellers
from the greater Nurenberg area have joined to bring into live "1001 Nacht erzählen",
with the object of telling for 1001 nights in a row, without exception. If the audience
supports the idea, this means a near three years' term. Anything that can be told
will be heard: fairy tales, local legends, lies, memories. Guest storytellers from
all over the world are welcome to tell in their native languages, with English having
good prospects of finding its audience. Performance dates can be guaranteed to anyone
