“Nu Wa Rising” A Journey to a Chinese Storytelling Village September 10-26, 2010 Our journey is inspired by the Chinese goddess Nu Wa, who brought peace and healing to the Earth using a rainbow array of gems to mend the broken sky. On this journey, we'll join together as a group of diverse storytellers and story lovers to build cultural bridges of peace. Our visit to Gengcun offers a rare opportunity to share stories in a village that has cultivated storytelling for the last 600 some years. France: Storytelling and Calligraphy Festival held each fall for the past four years in Amiens, about an hour, north of Paris. Nurenberg, Germany. starting April 30, 2001: 1001 nights of storytelling 26 storytellers from the greater Nurenberg area have joined to bring into live "1001 Nacht erzählen", with the object of telling for 1001 nights in a row, without exception. If the audience supports the idea, this means a near three years' term. Anything that can be told will be heard: fairy tales, local legends, lies, memories. Guest storytellers from all over the world are welcome to tell in their native languages, with English having good prospects of finding its audience. Storytelling Associaton of Singapore (SAS) on May 21, 2006. We had a buffet of stories aimed at family audiences

to carry out more outreach programmes and are aurrently in negotitaions with
the Parks Board to do storytelling in the Parks in the North and East
regions.
The Asian Civilisations Museum's auditorium will be the venue for the the showcase performances as
part of the Singapore International Storytelling Festival (SISF). The SAS is
involved in the planning of the professional progamming for the Asian
Congress of Storytellers to be held on August 30th and 31st and the showcase
